First off, I have to apologize for the time gone by between posts. We received some very interesting news the week before Christmas, and have since been running around like crazy. My little family will be relocating to Toledo, Ohio, the first week of April. So, with getting everything together, Chris traveling (we actually traveled with him to McDonough, Georgia for two weeks), and just trying to keep our house in "show" condition (we have to sell), we have had little time for anything (seriously). But, now I'm home, and I want to catch up on the few sessions that I have done since my last post.
Update: Believe it or not, I'm posting from Tennessee!
The H boys: Children's and Maternity Photographer Slidell, Louisiana
I got lucky with this session, I happen to know this family very well. The H boys are my nephews and Momma M is my sister in law. It was a very cold December morning, and the boys were being their hilarious selves. They are adorable and so funny. They remind me so much of two of my older brothers, the way they go through their fight-play nicely-fight again cycles. And Momma M is so patient with them, letting most of their antics just roll off her back, er... um, belly :) In these pictures, she's about 6 and a half months pregnant with her and my brother's first baby girl. Miss Mia Jane will be here early April and we are so excited. Such a beautiful little family was so easy to photograph. Love you all.
Sweet Little J: {Children's Photographer: Slidell, Louisiana}
I had the pleasure of speaking with Little J's grandmother, and scheduled a session for J and J's wonderful Daddy. It was a very, very chilly Saturday morning. It was much colder than we expected. And poor J did so well. She was cold, but you would never know it by looking at the gorgeous shots we got. I just think of a warm spring day when I look at them. She is a happy, cheery, very smart little girl, and it was such a pleasure to take her pictures. Grandma T, it was so very nice to meet you, and I feel like I've known you for my whole life! And you have a beautiful, truly lovely family.
Baby G: {Newborn Photographer: Slidell, Louisiana}
I had the pleasure of taking the R Family's pictures just before Christmas. They are such a sweet family, and their boys are hilarious. Well, the week of Christmas, Momma R gave birth to a precious baby girl, baby G. She's got the sweetest little face and pouty lips, and momma R and I agree that she looks like she's got a smidgen of red hair as well (a baby after my own heart <3 !!) I was so excited when Momma R asked if I would take her sweet baby's newborn portraits. Such a gorgeous baby. Congratulations on your beautiful new bundle, R Family!
Presenting Queen R {Senior Photographer: New Orleans, Louisiana}
I have another special bond with this beautiful senior in high school. We're cousins. And I have had the privilege of watching her grow up into a lovely young woman. She's not only got the looks, she's smart as can be and plays in her high school band, and is in ROTC. And we just recently found out she would be representing big time as this year's Queen for the Irish Channel St. Patrick's parade. I know you don't all know my family, but all I can say is, this is a BIG deal. And I mean big. Our family is Irish through and through, so to have family hold such a high seat on the court so exciting! She's following her sister, H, who was also on the court just a few years ago. I hope she's up to the challenge, because her family expects big things from her. She's set the bar high, and we are all so excited to see how far she will go. With a fabulous sense of humor and all the rest of her talents to boot, I know that the sky's the limit for her. Best of Luck, R, and Congratulations!!!
